About the event
The SHIPHT Internship program provides work-based learning and career exploration in entrepreneurship and areas with shortages that have been identified as high-need careers. Utilizing previously obtained data, participants work with business partners to truly understand "a day in the life" in a desired area of interest. Participants also receive mentorship (with both a near- peer mentors and from experienced leaders), culturally affirming programming developed for youth by youth, soft skills and financial literacy. Additionally, we focus on ensuring our participant population closely resembles that of our nearest school district with both mentors and students.
